The sixth gathering of the Drummers’ Association was held.

More than 60 drum enthusiasts and association members attended the gathering.

As usual, the meeting opened with remarks by Mr. Keyvan Shokouh, the veteran master of Iranian drumming, before turning to the main topic of the session. “Membership and membership fees” was the central subject of the sixth gathering; it was put to a general vote and welcomed by most participants.

After a detailed discussion of the issue, the attendees’ views were collected, and it was agreed to move forward with a coherent plan.

The latest news and reports from the association were also shared, bringing members up to date on its recent activities. Topics raised included visits by international masters in October–November; plans for the association’s first official drum camp in Mazandaran in November–December; holding more Play-Along festivals; inviting bass players to join the association; producing T-shirts with the association’s logo; and members working together to make the association’s programs even better.

Highlights of the sixth gathering included enthusiasts who came from distant cities across Iran, new young faces attending for the first time, and the presence of leading professional drummers.
